Just for information, the last cut and strim of the year will be carried out in November in the ‘old’ part of Renhold which is the area that the Parish Council manage.
Later in the month or into December, the roadside verges will receive a full cut back to the ditches and hedge trimming will be done now that the berries have been eaten by wildlife. Hedge trimming may look brutal but is essential for the health of the hedge and to keep our pavements clear of overhanging vegetation and safe to walk on. The hedge will recover and come back much thicker which benefits small birds as they can take shelter from the weather or predators.
Routine cutting will resume again in the Spring.
